Placebo release new single Trigger Happy Hands with full-length film

Goth-tinged alternative rock types Placebo have today released new single Trigger Happy Hands with a baffling event for the London press. The track is accompanied by a full-length film shot by Swedish director Andreas Nilsson in the desert outside LA on the former ranch of oddball criminal fellow Charles Manson. This afternoon, members of the press were picked up by overall-clad clowns and taken to the Aubin Cinema on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch to watch the première of the new film. Apparently Brian Molko and chums were in attendance but Spoonfed were too confused by all the machine gun-toting clowns to notice. 'Trigger Happy Hands' is characteristically Placebo, with Molko's distinctive vocals to the fore. The track is echoed by the strange, twisted video which depicts a cult of angry clowns committing acts of brutal violence against the humans who've ostracised them for so long. ‘Trigger Happy Hands’ is taken from the newly re-packaged Placebo album ‘Battle for the Sun’ Redux version, which was released on 27th September.
