Graham Norton has a talent at putting people at ease, guests seem to let their guard done...maybe it is due to the fact that they have support of another guest on the interview couch. It sometimes takes 2 to compete with Norton's wit and flamboyant enthusiasm. When I read the guest for this repeat show I thought it would be a bit of a yawn - Kurt Russell. To be fair I don't recall seeing Kurt on screen/TV since that pirate sailing type movie with Martin Short (Captain Ron) or Big Trouble in Little China and of course late night viewings of Lost in New York. But the gift of Norton is that he is able to guide an interview (also frame it more like a chat) to the most entertaining variables. Kurt (masculinity) vs Norton (camp). I can't believe how much I like Kurt Russell after this......next to Jesus, JFK, Pierre Trudeau, Elvis, Truman Capote, he may be invited to dine with us.
