TST
Whoops? Ed, did you say “whoops”? No, Ed. “Whoops” is when you fall down an elevator shaft. “Whoops” is when you skinny-dip in a school of piranha. “Whoops” is when you accidentally douche with Drano! No, Ed. This was no ” whoops! ” This was an AAAAAAAAAAAAAUGGGHHH!!

Placebo release new single Trigger Happy Hands with full-length film
Goth-tinged alternative rock types Placebo have today released new single Trigger Happy Hands with a baffling event for the London press. The track is accompanied by a full-length film shot by Swedish director Andreas Nilsson in the desert outside LA on the former ranch of oddball criminal fellow Charles Manson. This afternoon, members of the press were picked up by overall-clad clowns and taken to the Aubin Cinema on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch to watch the première of the new film. Apparently Brian Molko and chums were in attendance but Spoonfed were too confused by all the machine gun-toting clowns to notice. 'Trigger Happy Hands' is characteristically Placebo, with Molko's distinctive vocals to the fore. The track is echoed by the strange, twisted video which depicts a cult of angry clowns committing acts of brutal violence against the humans who've ostracised them for so long. ‘Trigger Happy Hands’ is taken from the newly re-packaged Placebo album ‘Battle for the Sun’ Redux version, which was released on 27th September.

Lil Wayne's Hand in Glove
Just read that rapper Lil Wayne is wearing a designer t-shirt that bears lyrics from the song Hand in Glove by The Smiths (right) on his latest album cover.
The shirt can be seen underneath a coat worn by Lil Wayne on the cover of I Am Not a Human Being, which was released today.
The shirt was designed by Marc Hundley as a tribute to The Smiths' Hand in Glove. It features fluorescent lyrics screen printed on a white 100% cotton t-shirt. It is available in unisex sizing from online retailer Open Ceremony for $60.
Hand in Glove was The Smiths' first single. It was written by The Smiths singer Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr and released in 1983 . The cover for the single is noteworthy because it featured a photograph of a naked man with his back to the camera by gay photographer Jim French (a.k.a Rip Colt). I wonder if Lil Wayne knows any of this.

Radiohead - Výstaviště Holešovice
Radiohead have thrown their support behind a fan-made live DVD, providing the hi-fi soundtrack to Czech film-makers’ amateur shots. The British band provided audio masters to the makers of Prague DVD, a DIY concert film shot on 23 August 2009…
It’s a strangely communal document, collecting the viewpoints of more than 50 camera-people – each with a cheap handheld Flip camera. A group of Radiohead fans descended on the Výstaviště Holešovice exhibition hall in Prague to capture the band perform, using as many different angles as possible. Radiohead reportedly love it, giving film-makers the soundboard recordings that would make or break the movie. If you manage to access the Prague DVD website, you can download the entire set for free, including a version for the iPhone. Czech Radiohead fans can even obtain a free CD. ‘Strictly not for sale,’ reads the site. ‘By the fans, for the fans. Please share and enjoy.’

Reissue, Repackage, Repackage
Anthony Lui is an art director / designer based in London’s East End, see the great reissues for Morrissey.
All You Need Is Me’ was the second release from Greatest Hits. The patterned paper on this was made of snakes, globes, eyes and stars. Also released as two 7″s and a CD wallet. See also Morrissey Greatest Hits and That’s How People Grow Up Cover photography by Jake Walters.
Michael Muller shot Morrissey on the grave of Johnny Ramone for this cover. The CD two inner bag carries a reproduction of the Camden Town engine house which eventually became the Roundhouse—where the Ramones first played the UK in 1976. There’s a great seven-minute long doco about this show you can watch here.
